allow me to introduce as Professor Satheesh Krishnamurthy, Chair of Energy Technology at The Open University, We are talking about very important topic and I feel as a community, recycling and reuse of almost all the commodities will address these major challenge. As a energy professor happy to contribute on projects if you need support. We have several government and industry funded research projects addressing the low carbon environment.

01:31:42
Thanks Satheesh. We'll definitely be in touch :)

Parents are under pressure from employers but are under more pesssure when dropping off kids at school- we need family friendly policies….maybe this should be theme in future

so many people does not stop their car engine for more than 15 mins while picking up their children, this might be very small thing for them, if we calculate the number of Co2 they generate an year is more than 10 sizes of football

01:36:47
That is very true, also taxis waiting to pick up people outside houses at night, and people waiting for the petrol pump at the filling station, I've noticed.

01:36:48

I wonder why children aren`t walked to school these days .

01:37:09
30 seconds left

01:37:38
I've wondered that. I think it's because more families have both parents working and they are under pressure from employers.

01:38:50
its the education to the children is very important and should be in the curriculum or even we can involve them in small projects and if the children say then parents might listen !! :) my two pence

01:39:10
I agree Kim. Parents could try exploring other ways. My son takes 2 children to school in London - one by bike and the other by walking.

I think as MK we can make a difference, as it is a growing city, earlier we strategise well and if we have enough outreach and we may achieve something

01:47:47
Electric vehicles are extremely speedy and have very impressive acceleration. Range is already good and improving all the time. Adoption of EVs by the TVP would be a great step forward.

01:48:53
Thanks Bishop Olivia.

01:49:19
Hi Mr.Salim I am supporting the campaign

01:49:55
We should allow the death registration on time and respect the faith as per islamic religion we should burry our dead loved ones as early as possible! Please open the registration out of hours

01:50:41
I understand hydrogen vehicles perform even better! Hamburg police have been trialling one...

01:51:42
Please address death burial service issue and provide service on all days

01:51:57
Agreed Asif, its a very necessary and needs addressing urgently.

01:52:05
Support this cause for enabling inclusive diversity across MK.

01:52:38
Thank you for bringing this subject . One day this will be our turn to pass away so please consider to open the weekend for the death registration . we are only asking for 2 hours Sat and Sunday/ Bank Holidays. Many thanks

01:53:52
thank you very much to bring this up

01:53:53
The production of the MCCD is now controlled by the Med examiner producing the certificate for registration of death ...this some time involves the coroner and the need for post mortem .. so though no one wants a delay there are procedures to follow.

01:54:55
Absolutely. Having grown up Muslim and having taught at a Modern Orthodox Jewish school, I'm passionate about streamlining death registration so that when it is central to one's faith that loved ones are buried within 24 hours (or as close to that as possible) that has to be expedited. People are in deep grief, they don't need the added pain of having to go against their faith or needing to bury their loved one further away to fulfil religious obligations and then be unable to visit regularly.

01:55:05
Weekend burial facilities are long overdue and really it should not take a large campaign for the residents to have this facility

01:55:18
There's a clear difference between equality and equity. Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome. We only ask to for the opportunity to properly practice our religion

01:56:01
Exactly, Imran.

02:03:51
Milton Keynes is often promoted as being modern and diverse with great facilities and amenities for its residents and visitors. Such a change would undoubtedly benefit all residents and be warmly welcomed and greatly appreciated by the many faith groups in our wonderfully diverse city.

02:05:05
How can evidence be provided if stats are not kept on religous beliefes at the time of registration???

02:05:22
Babies don't announce their arrivals into this world and the deceased cannot announce their departure. We need to ensure we make provision for both. This pandemic should also highlight the importance of processing the deceased as soon as possible.

02:05:59
Thank you everyone

02:06:01
very eloquently put Rukhsana

02:09:24
My children didn't have to meet up with the police in order to trust them. I taught them that as a parent. I know things have changed, but I think it's the parents who have the greatest influence over their family.

02:09:50
our campaign is to help the MK community regardless of their belief or creed and we are happy to work with policy holders to cater for all communities regardless of the out of hours charges that we feel are punitive to bury the loved ones in a timely manner without any delays or hinderance.

02:10:51
well done young people for a great presentation

02:11:20
Linda, that's wonderful, but I think you need to accept that certain communities just...can't and for good reason.

02:11:40
Thanks Irim.

Yes, a visible presence had a lot of impact previously, as people got to know the police and build a relationship when there wasn't a crime being perpetrated.

02:18:05
we need more visible community policing

02:18:07
I would really appreciate having relevant contacts to make this change for Young people

02:18:16

02:19:39
Is anything being done around young people who have been victims of continued racial profiling by police officers? That won’t stop with a higher police presence.

02:19:53
